Anybody else hear that loud boom last night? Right around 9, maybe a little after. I was out in the garage fighting with a stuck door hinge and the whole thing kind of rattled. Not a thunder rumble, more like one big thump and then nothing.
A buddy of mine said it was coming from the Devils Den State Park direction. I know that's a good drive south of us out past West Fork, and I was up closer to Lake Fayetteville, so I don't know if it was even the same sound or if it carries that far on a still night. Could've been a blast somewhere, a transformer, some kid with something he shouldn't have. No game Tuesday so it wasn't the stadium.
I didn't see anything on the news this morning and nothing on the scanner page I check. Did anybody see lights, smoke, emergency trucks headed that way? Even just "yeah I heard it too" helps me figure out where it was.
