has springdale always been like this?

went up to springdale last weekend to try a coffee place a buddy keeps raving about, and i barely recognized emma ave. new spots, people actually walking around, and parking was a pain on a random saturday morning. i've been over by gulley park a couple years now and realized i mostly just drive through springdale on 71b or 49 on the way somewhere else.

so for the people who've been around longer, has it always had this much going on or did it change in the last 5-10 years? every time i go up there something new has opened. meanwhile it feels like fayetteville's new stuff is mostly the same few blocks around the square and dickson.

also if you've got a favorite coffee shop or lunch spot up there i should know about, i'm collecting. trying to get out of my usual loop.

Emma Ave has changed a lot since the 2010s.
