We're usually Fayetteville homebodies up here on Kessler Mountain, but my sister is driving down from Missouri Saturday and wants to see Bentonville. She hasn't been since before the Momentary opened, and I honestly haven't been up there in a good while either. Everything we do ends up being within about ten minutes of the house.
So I'm wondering if anyone knows of anything fun happening up that way Saturday or Sunday. It doesn't have to be a big event. Crystal Bridges is on the list already, and we'll probably walk around the Square if the weather cooperates. I think the farmers market is winding down for the season, but I couldn't tell you for sure if it's still going. If anybody has seen something posted, a fall festival, a market, live music, anything kid-friendly or not, I'd love to hear about it.
I also need a lunch or early dinner spot, since I'm the one who always ends up picking the restaurant. We'll be six or seven people with a couple of the church ladies tagging along, so somewhere that can seat a group without a two-hour wait on a Saturday. I know Bentonville has about a hundred places now and I only know a handful of them. Where do you actually go when you're up there, not the one everybody tells visitors about?
It's a bit of a drive from our side of town, so I'd rather plan it than wing it. Thanks in advance, and if you tell me the parking on the Square is a nightmare I'd rather know now.
