Anything going on this weekend around Dickson?

Okay so my in-laws are driving up from Little Rock Friday and staying through Sunday, and I have been put in charge of "something fun." Which is rich, because the last time I planned something fun for them we ended up in a 40 minute line at a place that shall remain nameless because the kids wanted pancakes and the pancakes were not worth it.

We live a few blocks off the Square so we can walk to a lot, but I haven't got a clue what's actually happening down Dickson this weekend. I looked at the Walton Arts Center calendar and it's a lot of stuff I'd have to pay forty bucks a head for, which, with two kids (7 and 10), no. I'm not made of money, I'm made of Costco rotisserie chicken and spite.

So what I'm after is: anything free or cheap, kid friendly, outside is fine if it doesn't get too cold, and ideally not a place where my father-in-law is going to loudly ask why a beer costs what it costs. Live music in the afternoon would be great. A street fair, a craft thing, a show, I'll take it.

And if there's a Hog game going on, tell me now so I can plan around the traffic and the parking situation. I refuse to circle that block by the Walton Arts Center for 25 minutes again. I will walk. I will carry a child if I have to.

Also if anyone knows whether the Saturday market on the Square is still going this late in the season, I keep getting two different answers from two different people and I'd like to settle it before Saturday morning.

Thanks in advance, and I promise to report back on whether the in-laws survived.
