Posting here because I figure somebody on this board drives through that area every day. My german shepherd Ranger got out Sunday evening, just off 71 on the north side of West Fork near the river. Something spooked him, we think, and he went through the back fence.
He's 4 years old, around 80 lbs, classic black and tan with a darker face. Left ear flops over a little at the tip. He had a green collar on, and he's microchipped. He's friendly but shy with strangers, so he might hang back or run if you walk right up on him. Crouching down and letting him come to you works better.
I've been out every evening after work walking the roads and the woods behind the house, and I called Fayetteville Animal Services and the county shelter. Nothing yet. Nights are getting cold and I'd just like to know he's okay.
If you see a shepherd that looks like him, even a maybe, message me on here. Please don't chase him. Also if you've got a trail cam or a doorbell cam anywhere around West Fork, it'd be worth a look back to Sunday night.
