Hi everybody ππΎ I just joined today so bear with me. I'm Darlene. My husband and I moved out near Siloam Springs this fall (still unpacking boxes and fixing up the house π¨π ) and I need to find a vet for our dog before winter really sets in.
His name is Biscuit, he's a 9 year old beagle mix and he's a sweet old man πΆβ€οΈ He needs his shots updated, and he's started limping a little on his back left leg, especially in the mornings now that it's getting cold. Nothing awful, but I'd like someone to look at it. His old vet back home retired and I haven't had to find a new one in almost 15 years, so I'm a little lost!
What I'm hoping for:
π Someone patient and gentle with older dogs, he gets nervous at the clinic
π΅ Fair prices. We're on a retirement budget, so I'd like to know up front what things cost
π¨ Somewhere that can handle an emergency, or at least tell me where to go after hours. I've been told that can be a long drive out here
π Bonus if they actually pick up the phone and call back π
Should I stay local in Siloam Springs, or is it worth driving over to Fayetteville for the better-known places? I don't mind the drive on 412 if it's worth it, but I'd rather not make it every time he needs a nail trim π
Thank you all so much! I've already got a lot of questions about this area (where are the good yard sales, who do you call for a roofer π ) but I'll start with the dog. Biscuit says thank you too πΎπΎ
