My brother-in-law has a little place off Emma Avenue in Springdale and the roof is about at the end of its life. Shingles are curling and he's got a stain on the back bedroom ceiling after that rain last week. I'd climb up there and patch it myself like I did twenty years ago, but my knees have other ideas.
He's on a fixed income, so he doesn't want to get taken. A fella knocked on his door after the hail last spring saying insurance would cover the whole thing, and he's been wary of anybody who shows up like that ever since. Smart, I think.
What we're after is a local outfit that's been around a while, gives a written quote, and shows up when they say they will. Doesn't have to be the cheapest, just honest. We'd like it done before it turns cold if we can.
Anybody in the Springdale or Fayetteville area used someone you'd hire again? Also curious what you paid and how long the job took, so we know what's reasonable. Thanks, neighbors.
